Abstract
In this study, the influence of moisture content on the critical stress intensity factor KIC was examined experimentally at room temperature. The materials used for the experiment were Japanese cypress, Alaska cedar, agathis, red lauan and tamo.
The critical stress intensity factor was maximum between 4% and 7% moisture contents. And avobe 7% moisture content, the critical stress intensity factor decreased with increasing moisture content.
