Abstract
We developed a water quality model coupled with a sub-model for each phytoplankton production. The sub-model can deal with three phytoplankton species and consider the response to cell quota. As the result of simulation using this model applying to the Tokyo bay, chlorophyll a of three phytoplankton species calculation results showed a seasonal variation tendency which was almost similar to the measurement value. In addition, the effect of the nutrients loading reduction on phytoplankton species biomasses, cell quota and water qualities were analyzed. As the result, only nitrogen in cell quota decreased when nitrogen loading was reduced, and when phosphorus loading was reduced, it became a tendency that decreasing of phytoplankton biomass, nitrogen and phosphorus in the cell quota.
