Collaboration of specialized management for neurological intractable disease and home medical care by general practitioner. ∼from the view of the specialist of incurable disease∼

Abstract

We comment on the collaboration of an intractable disease specialist and the general practitioner in our hospital. A point paying attention to as an intractable disease specialist are the diagnosis, the explanation about the symptom that may occur in future, the periodical relation with the patients, medical management and periodical conference with the general practitioner. When a condition in particular progresses, the practice of patients with intractable disease does not consist only in intractable disease special hospital, and the many types of job cooperation that we did including a local medical institution is important.
