We report three cases of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in which long–term intermittent gait training was performed using a hybrid assistive limb (HAL). There were no adverse events related to HAL and gait speed improved in a saw tooth–like pattern during gait training with a high frequency. In addition, we performed endoscopic gastrostomy on two patients due to the deterioration of bulbar palsy ; however, gait training was resumed without adverse events related to gastric fistula by paying attention to decompression of the gastric fistula and gastrostomy button.
