Abstract
In recent years, the importance of consumer distribution in the logistics field, especially the courier business, has increased more than ever. The elaborate logistics networks of major delivery companies are widely used as social infrastructure. However, no decisive measures have been taken to reduce the redelivery rate. Countermeasures such as drop-off delivery, delivery boxes, and in-store pickup have been implemented, but all of them have only been partially effective. Therefore, this paper analyzed and considered the existing methods for receiving parcels at convenience stores, and proposed an improvement scheme. For delivery service companies, convenience stores and other stores began to be used as collection points, and later added the role of receiving points. In order to establish the use of receiving locations such as convenience stores as one of the measures to reduce absentee redeliveries, it is necessary to improve efficiency. This study proposes that delivery to stores can be made more efficient by setting up a dedicated delivery service from a delivery center to a designated area, rather than having sales drivers at sales offices consolidate packages with packages destined for individual households.
