Abstract
We conducted a clinical research on the prognoses of 42 patients who were treated for medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) in our department, over an 8-year period from November 2008 to May 2016, and obtained the following results. Statistical analysis showed significant differences between the groups of cancer treatment and dosage career of injections.
Furthermore, the surgical treatment group showed improvements in symptoms in 80% of the cases, while the conservative treatment group showed improvements in symptoms in 32% of the cases. This research suggests the validity of the surgical approach for treating MRONJ.
