Abstract

This paper presents an educational system with robotic simulator in virtual reality environment to promote a learner’s embodied cognition in project-based learning. The students can virtually experience assembly work and programing for designing a service robot, using an immersive head mounted display. Moreover, the student can physically understand the robotic structure and mechanism through the interaction with virtual environment. In this study, we investigate the effectiveness of the developed system as an educational tool for beginners and discuss the applicability from a questionnaire survey.
