Abstract
A Benzethonium chloride disinfectant solution, Rusnon® Medical Solution, was examined on its disinfective effect and the following results were obtained.
1. Rusnon® Medical Solution was equivalent to Hyamine Solution in the inhibition effect on the growth of the test microbes.
2. Rusnon® Medical Solution, as well as Hyamine Solution, completely inhibited the raising of the growth curve of the test microbes.
3. The microbes adhering to dental instruments were completely annihilated after being immersed in Rusnon® Medical Solution for 24 hrs.
4. Rusnon® Medical Solution of practical concentration was effective for 10 days.
