Abstract
The purpose of this study is to criticize clinically“the standardization of evaluation of analgesics efficiency in toothache”which was executed by Japanese Society of Oral Therapeutics and Pharmacology.
117 patients with toothache and related pain which needed analgesic drug were carried out in this study.
2 Tablets of CALONAL 0 Tab.® (Showa Yakuhin kako Corp. 200mg acetoaminophen/1 tablet) were each administered without symptomatic intra-oral treatment.
The following results were obtained from this study.
1) Acetoaminophen is effective and safe for relieving toothache and related pain. 83% of experimental persons were obtained effective analgesics result.
2) Side effect repoted in 3 of 117 cases (0.3%) : such as stomachache, drawsiness and dizziness. However, latter two cases were considered that there were no relationship with the administrating of CALONAL O Tab.
3) “The standardization of evaluation of analgesics efficiency in toothache”was useful generally to evaluate the analgesic efficiency.
