Abstract
The two parallel plasma columns were produced separately. The combining motion of the columns was studied to investigate the merging velocity. It was shown that the merging velocity was the function of the plasma current and the static magnetic field. The relative motion of the plasma columns was controlled successfully by the pulsed magnetic field.
