Abstract
The conceptual designs of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) are being curried out from 1988. The requirements for the superconducting magnet system are based on the progress of each component performance. However, the development program will be necessary to solve their difficulties : scale-up, reliability, and irradiation effects of insulator.
