Abstract
Mathematical techniques of CT (computer tomography) which are employed in the field of plasma diagnostics and the experiments using CT are reviewd. Cormack's method has been most popular mathematical technique, but recently the Fourier-Bessel inversion method, the spline function method, and the maximum entropy method have been developed. Soft x-ray tomography is well developed and is used to investigate the MHD phenomena, such as the sawtooth oscillation and the major disruption. The imaging technique is also applied to other diagnostics, such as ECE, the bolometer, the laser interferometer and the neutron measurements.
