Abstract

Two-dimensional code was developed to simulate the trajectories of ion beams from source plasmas. And the calculations in the code were parallelized to reduce the calculation time, where we used linearly connected transputers (T 800) added in a personal computer. Parallel performance by using several transputers reveals to be much excellent, although even a single transputer shows faster calculation power than the usual recent engineering workstations (EWS). Applicability of parallelism in the simulations of physical problems was shown here.
