Abstract
We have studied distinct function of different phytochrome spices (A, B, C) in rice. In this study, we reported the results of microarray analysis
of rice phytochrome A (phy A) mutant using Rice 22K oligoarray (Rice Full-length cDNA Project and Agilent).
Dark grown phy A mutant (3d) was illuminated by a far-red (FR) pulse. Tips of coleoptile were harvested at 0.5, 1, 4h after FR plus. Wild type (WT: cv. Nipponbare) was used as control. Microarray data were analyzed with SOTA (Herrero et al. 2001 Bioinfomatics, 17:126) method in TMEV (Saeed et al., 2003 Biotechniques, 34(2):374). We pick up ca. 260 genes which were induced in WT but not changed in PhyA. We also pick up (ca. 130) genes which were reduced in WT but not changed in PhyA. Details of these genes were under investigation.
