Abstract
Tendrils observed many climber coil around a suitable support in touch with that. It has known that the microtubules of tendrils play an important role in the perception of physical stimulus and that the coiling of tendrils is promoted by indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), although this mechanism is not clear. In the last meeting, I indicated that IAA promoted the coiling of squash tendrils, because of the growth of the dorsal side of that organ by using the sprit test. In this time, I investigated the polar transport of IAA in the tendrils. Tendril coiling was promoted by the treatment of IAA in the basal region of tendrils, but not promoted by the treatment of that in apical region. Promoting of the coiling of IAA treatment in basal region was not inhibited by treatment of N-(1-naphthyl)phthalamic acid. IAA maybe move from basal to apical region in tendrils.
