Abstract
There are many web database of Arabidopsis thaliana in individual omic layers. However, data format is generally different by database. Thus it is hard for biologists to extract effective information out of data integrated over omic layers. Therefore we have been developing a semantic web-based database integration system termed SWF (Semantic Web Folders) to deal with heterogeneous omic databases. Currently, we integrated 23 omic databases for Arabidopsis thaliana into the system. Users on the SWF system enable to access integrated data by tracing semantic links and also to obtain a desired list by original integrated keyword search engine. Moreover, our system and original genome browser work together so that for example users can retrieve integrated data of Tiling arrays with their genome coordinates. Furthermore, Arabidopsis database for PosMed search system was constructed by the function of data curation in the SWF system. The SWF system can access from http://databaseforge.org/.
