Abstract
We have analyzed data of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) cDNA resources from a laboratory-grown miniature tomato cultivar "Micro-Tom" and provided the obtained information from databases: MiBASE (http://www.pgb.kazusa.or.jp/mibase/) and KaFTom (http://www.pgb.kazusa.or.jp/kaftom/). From MiBASE, the information of 'Kazusa Tomato Unigenes (KTUs)' and their functional annotations have been provided. The current version of KTU has been constructed from Micro-Tom ESTs and publicly available tomato ESTs. From KaFTom, information of 13,227 High Throughput cDNAs (HTCs) from four Micro-Tom full-length cDNA libraries and their functional and structural annotations are available.
We have also developed a seamlessly integrated database 'TOMATOMICS' that stores information provided from MiBASE and KaFTom, and genome structural annotations with manual curation. The data of the KTU version 4 will be integrated into TOATOMICS.
