Abstract

Photogrammetry data production method has dramatically been accelerated recently. Due to the evolution of PC specifications, and it has become possible to carry out data production without high-performance personal computer. Also the software is no longer expensive, the price range is getting easier for individuals, and the shooting equipment has evolved to higher resolution, then it has become feasible to generate higher quality and high definition data. Due to this situation, the entertainment industry and academic domain like “digital archiving” areas is expanding day by day. Also in addition to these categories, utilizing photogrammetry is beginning to be considered in a wide range of applications such as industries that require higher definition and measurement dimensional accuracy.

About 3D scanning studio, “SUPERSCANSTUDIO”, Taking the case of the our scanning studio as an example. SUPERSCANSTUDIO (/http://www.superscanstudio.com/), the purpose of data utilization is not limited to the entertainment direction with VR/AR, etc., but also in the manufacturing development area such as analysis in apparel or sports. However, it is being used from various angles. We will consider the technical aspects while introducing examples of industry utilization that our SUPERSCANSTUDIO has been working on so far.
