Abstract
When comparing withse 2 temporal LANDSAT images of Kanto area acquired in 1972 and 1976, these images show us, first of all, the increasing of reclaimed area around Tokyo bay and the Kashima industrial region. In this report, the distribution and amount of the reclaimed area increased through those 4 years are surveyed by using 2 temporal LANDSAT MSS CCT data.
For surveying the environmental change by temporal LANDSAT data, first necessity is correct registration of the images. Next one is the method by which the. environmental change are detected from those registrated images. With consideration of these two points, the distribution of new reclaimed area around Tokyo bay is investigated and the area is known about 33.8 sq.km.
