Abstract
Dimensions of a facade of a wooden building were estimated by use of a single photograph. Some new attempts were carried out in the processes of orientation and dimension estimation. We can find many parallel lines, vertical lines, right angle corners, etc. at buildings. These conditions were used for orientation of a photograph. The necessary condition for dimension estimation was, therefore, one length at the object, only. Principal distance of a photograph was estimated using a condition which is inherent in the building. Not only the facade, the coordinates of some points on a plane perpendicular to the facade were also estimated.
