Abstract
SELENE (SELenological and ENgineering Explorer) loaded with MI (multi-bandimager) and SP (Spectral Profiler), will be launched in 2005. This study is envisioned fordeveloping the automated technique for detailed geological mapping of lunar surfaceusing the geographical and spectral features processed by the wide width data acquiredby MI, and the linear data acquired by SP. This paper shows the result of extraction and classification craters using the Clementine UVVIS images.
