Abstract
Surfaces of small bodies such as asteroids are covered with particles called regoliths, however, only little is expected for very small bodies owing to their small gravity. In this study, we performed laboratory measurements of opposition surge, which appears in small phase angles in scattered light, using a multi phase angle near infrared spectrometer at Kobe University. The samples were rock chips and the powders having the similar surface roughness with the chips. The surface roughness was defined by the roughness measured with 10 micron scale. We will discuss how the opposition surge differs for the surfaces with the similar surface roughness but different porosity.
