Abstract
Mercury, the nearest planet from the Sun, may consist of reduced materials like enstatite chondrite (Wasson 1988).The parameterized convection theory is employed to calculate the Mercury's thermal history, assuming that the mantle and core have the similar compositions to the silicate and metal-sulfur components of enstatite chondrite, respectively. Our result suggests that the present inner core of Mercury is significantly smaller than the previous studies.
