Abstract

Currently, SUS630 stainless high-strength bolts are used in friction-type bolted joints of stainless steel components. In this study, the materials and shapes of nuts and washers were analytically examined to stabilize the torque coefficient of SUS329J4L bolts, which offer higher corrosion resistance, within the specified range. As a result, it was found that the materials of the nuts and washers had little effect on the torque moment, and that introducing an r on the nut bearing surface could help reduce the torque moment. Furthermore, it was suggested that when the torque moment is of a similar magnitude, a larger contact area may allow for more stable introduction of axial force.
