Abstract
This paper presents the buckling coefficient of plate girder panels with flanges subjected to localized edge loading. When the buckling load of plate girder panels subjected to localized edge loading is calculated, the buckling coefficient not considering torsion rigidity of flange has been used. However, now days two plate-girder bridge is becoming to a major bridge structure type. So the flange plate thickness of the plate girders has not been able to be ignored. This paper proposes the easy formula of the buckling coefficient of plate girder panels with flanges subjected to localized edge loading.
