Abstract
The organization of a company's design function has a great influence on the decision-making process. The purpose of this research is to explore the correlation between the decision-making process and the organization of the design function. The exchange of information and knowledge, together with a unified thinking style are essential to an efficient decision-making process. For the reason, 'Business Unit' type organization results in more efficient decision-making than 'Center' type organization. However, there are a number of managerial devices by which 'Center' type organization may made to work efficiently.
