Abstract
Ritsumeikan University has gone through a revolution on Biwako Kusatsu campus. We settled interdisciplinary institutes, which aim at a fusion among physical science, social science and cultural science. We provide an education utilizing intimate collaboration among College of Economics, College of Business Administration and College of Science and Engineering The Environment and Dcsign Institute, one of the institutes, has two programs; environmental management program and design management program. In the design management program we provide interdisciplinary carriculum educate students, who become managers and engineers with design mind. People not only in universities but also design industry show much interest in our intensive challenge.
