Abstract
Packaging in the distribution of ceramics traditionally utilized "straw packaging". This study examined the relationship between the inherited straw packaging's INR and morphology in the Arita-Imari regions, concluding : the INR were a primary factor in the mass distribution packaging operation; with the INR, the packaging operations efficiency improved and various kinds of ceramics were packed using nearly the same structure with high cost control; regarding finished goods and distribution, the efficient management of related tariffs, wages, and packaging costs was achieved.
