Abstract
This study reports about a class "the basic of information design" in information design department at Tama Art University. This class was opened as the basic program in 1998 and 1999. The concept of the class is "learning information design based on experience". In this class, students hoe up a field and cultivate some kinds of vegitables, and they also have to create some graphic works based on the experiense in the fields. The subject of these design works are drawing, color composition, diagram and time line chart. The students could learn some way to design the information and thought the meaning of "information design", in this basic class.
