Abstract
The main subject of this study is to discuss about the "Light Art" as a starting point of the subsequent "Technology Art". The history of its category formation and the origin of artificial light used art are investigated. The introduction process of artificial light in Japanese art and position of "Light Art" are discussed The catalogs of exhibitions in 1950-1970 are researched as material . The articles of journal and newspaper are referred to compensate the unavailable catalogs. The exhibitions held at museum, art gallery, department store or else public facilities are picked up.
