Abstract
Following functions of supporting human thinking derived from designing a tool for travel planning and protocol analysis of the prototype experiment are discussed in this paper. (A)facilitation of externalizing thought into comprehensive objects, (B)facilitation of making relationship between the objects and grouping the objects, (C)providing obvious spaces as place of meaningfully arranging the objects. The space works as a context of the objects, (D) signifying meaning to free space for external izing and arranging the objects, (E) supporting representing resolution or hierarchy of the objects.
