Abstract
A rehearsal in this study means learning courses to destinations. The study about navigation is closely related to cognitive maps. And rehearsal, memory method, the cognitive map and the navigation behavior on actual streets are also connected to it. In this experiment, We used 54 subjects of men and women. After the subject studies the route with one of 3 rehearsal media (VR walk-through 1,2,3), he does navigation of the route. As a result, the rehearsal with the high viewpoint was profitable for understanding of space. We classified the subjects in 4 types from navigating behaviors in the actual streets and mental maps, and we also considered the relationship between navigation and cognitive maps.
