Abstract
I attempt to explain how students learn the technical skil1 of Interaction Design in the educational process. I conducted a seminar for over 1OO junior students majoring in industrial design. Students carried out a usability test to evaluate mobile phones. They redesigned them based on the differences between the user model and the system. In this research, students have gained a deep understanding of the interaction design process through l) analyzing actual user action, 2) using visual design tools e.g. flow charts, 3) learning from similar analyzed samples from other groups, 4) synthesizing system design elements on redesigning.
