Abstract
The purpose of this study is about the relationship between visual image and hearing image of modern Japanese typeface. On the previous research, we analyzed the relationship between visual image and hearing image of typefaces by the questionnaires. As a result, it was recognized that it was in the tendency of images, which is common to them. We set up a hypothesis that the factor is the visual image of the element form. It was recognized that a common image existed between the element form image of the chosen typeface and image of the sensitivity to word as a result of the analysis. We guess the element form is connected with sound rhyme image, whole feeling of weight connected with tone or loudness image.
