Abstract
We have advanced the research of the mechanism of the decision making at the turning point stage in the design process. As a result, it has been understood that the designer is stepping on the stage "Recognition","C omprehension","Consent"," and "Execution" generally. And, it is clarified to receive "Internal struggle" and "External stimulation" at each turning point stage, and to have decided directionality. Moreover, we investigated whether there were differences in the problem findings on the other hand by the period of the design theme which the students advanced.
As a result, it has been understood that "Target image" influences the problem findings. This research is an investigation of the factor that those problem findings are caused in the design process.
