These days, the visual impressions of user friendliness are paid to attention in the marketing field and the product design. From this background, though we focused the display and the operation panel in a product, we focused its visual impressions of user friendliness of the styling design only whose case study was a hair dryer in this paper. As an analysis method, we had the first attempt to extract the striking feature by the method to narrow samples using component scores of Principal component analysis. We have found that the original function of the target product such as "The hair seems to dry soon" ranked high and then the feature of each principal component was extracted by Rough sets. This result suggested a new aspect in the product concept making.
