Abstract
This study explores how people react when seeing products that aim to induce sustainable behavior. It has been proved that design can influence people's behavior with proper prompt or feedback. Depend on this fact, 30 samples are collected and showed to 14 people(7 Japanese and 7 Chinese). With the evaluation data, correspondence analysis is conducted. It turns out that Japanese prefer analog interaction, and they feel displeased when being forced. While Chinese like digital feedback to remind saving resource. It showed that people with different lifestyles need different design methods to encourage sustainable behavior effectively.
