Suggestion for coping with disciplining pedestrians and bicycles prohibited at expressway interchange

For Tokyo Bay Aqua Line Ukisima interchange of Metropolitan Expressway

Abstract

Pedestrians and bicycles entering to the freeway are prohibited. The ‘No-entry’ Signboard is installed in the entrance of the interchange, but the number of pedestrian entering to freeway is not decrease. Therefore, in this report, we assumed a reason of a false entry and made a design concept. We made the photomontages of measures plans and checked with that. As a result, we confirmed that the “Area differentiation”, “Position for looking easier by pedestrians”, and “Visual sequence " are effected in photomontages.
