Abstract
This research is joint design development with the TAKAFU Knife Village Cooperative in Fukui Echizen.The knife industry of Echizen has about 700 years of history.This research is the new measure of the knife industry which combined the forging technology of tradition technique with a new titanium clad metal.The titanium clad metal experimented on main material by carbon steel and stainless steel.The cutting experiment was conducted with the press processing machine and the laser beam machine.The surface treatment experiment tried monochrome and gradation with anodic oxidation coating.
