Abstract
The purpose of this research is "Community Development based on Participatory Designing" and finding out the new social practice framework which united design practice, design research, and design education. As the beginning of this project, prototyping of activities have performed from the following three viewpoints. 1)workshop of design skill and design thinking. 2)development of tools for design activities. 3)the place arrangement of an activity base in Hakodate community. As the result during this year, prototype workshops were held and knowledge was acquired about activity image and preparation, and the old private house in the Hakodate western area was borrowed as a base and has been repaired.
