Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the history related to paper lotus flowers in Taiwan. After systematically organizing our research materials we find the many forms of paper lotuses can have different symbolic significance and utility based on the number of paper sheets used in its making, variation in color, the number of flowers, and whether or not the flower and its stand are integrated, as well as other variations.
