Activity report of "Kininaru!" that made children feel familiar with trees

A report of play activity "Connekid" (part 14)

Abstract

We carried out “CONNEKID in Fukushima 2016” which is a workshop of play in “kid workshop carnival 2016 in Fukushima 2016” at Fukushima city. CONNEKID (CONNEct+KID) means “the child with whom the body and the heart are connected.” It is the event which the student of the Sapporo city university(SCU) and Forest products research institute designed play and a toy. This workshop is one of “Mokuiku activity.” Play of the first day of “Kininaru! (= CONNEKID in Fukushima 2016)” is “Mitatekko” which portray oneself as wood. Another day of “Kininaru!” is “Kurabekko” which compare oneself to wood.
