Abstract
'Inagura Tanada' the rice terrace located in Ueda City is scenic area and designated as the 100 best rice terraces in Japan. Inagura Tanada is considered to be built and developed from the Edo period to the Meiji period. Banks of the rice terrace was built with a Masterful combination of stones and soils, and the rice terrace is spreading across the besides Inagura River approximately 2.5 km. But in recent years, the issue about landscape preservation of the race terrace have been becoming bigger and bigger, such as depopulation of rural area, and deserted arable land in the rice terrace. So, we stuied about whole concept of committee activity for Inagura Tanada, and collaboration with residents concerning regional development, reviving the tourism industry of Inagura Tanada.
