Toward 2020 year Tokyo Olympic Games

Abstract

A research team classified a pictogram into 3 categories and studied Japanese culture. Category1: Pictogram production about Japanese food and cooking. Category 2: Pictogram production about culture and the climate of Japan. Category 3: Pictogram production about a rule and manners of Japan. When developing a new pictogram design with Japanese culture, we investigated a lot of document and various case in our life style. Diversity of a new type pictogram and the significance could be shown by this research.
