Abstract
In current Japan, a lot of “Regional event" is held for the purpose of local community activation. “Sanjo- Marche" is the big success example. It recorded up to 98,000 guests in spite of approximately 105,000 population in Sanjo-shi, Niigata. Why were they able to succeed? It was able to find out “Design of KOTO” in the process where citizens looked for their role voluntarily and they accomplished the task. This text reported the process in Sanjo for “Design of KOTO”.
