In this paper, the algorithm for the piece connection pattern in 3D jigsaw puzzle was built. The checkered pattern of connection surface and contact surface was adopted as the piece connection pattern. On the connection surfaces, a pair of convex and concave connectors are oriented in the same direction. The checkered connection pattern made integrity incomplete, so some connection surfaces were added.
;The prototype of the 3D jigsaw puzzle with Styrofoam was manufactured using a robot arm and a styrene cutter. The prototype indicated that assembly is possible and that integrity is ensured.
