In this study, we examined the "means" and "methods" of expression that effectively convey emotions in the screen design of messaging applications. First, we extracted the six types of emotions to be communicated, the four means of expression, and the methods for each of these means. After that, for each of the six types of emotions, eight different screen design samples were created, and a questionnaire survey was conducted with 30 university students as subjects regarding the degree of transmission of the emotions. As a result of the analysis, it was found that although the specific methods differed, they were effective in means such as "the movement of the speech balloon and text".
