Host: Japanese Society for the Science of Design
This project is a design of activities for university students to live in an old folk house and learn while opening a part of this building to the area. At first, the residents thought that a place of living and a place of activity based learning were equal. In order to achieve this, they organized events and opened restaurants for the community. However, during the operation, the balance between residents and visitors became unbalanced. In order to solve this problem, the author has repeatedly devised ways to achieve both a place of living and a place of activity based learning. From the author's point of view, a discussion of the history of activities over the past two years and future issues found will be reported.
