University museums function as an academic and cultural hub that foster education/research on collections and objects. Students learned about the value of objects and recognized the importance of preserving them and passing them on to future generations. The curatorship course helped develop cross-disciplinary learning. The students specifically discussed the museum’s authentic ukiyo-e collections were receptive to this object-based learning. These objects obviously supported the students’ understanding of their value and the importance of their preservation. This study shows the power of cross-disciplinary learning through/with objects in generating movement.
