Promoting “work style reform” for a better working environment—From Design Planning Exercise III

Abstract

The aim of the work style reform is to improve the working environment and increase labor productivity. This can be regarded as an effort to reduce stress through creating a comfortable office environment, and “encouraging innovative ideas and intellectual creativity.” Working in a relaxing space, such as a camping-style office, improves the effectiveness of meetings and promotes productive discussions. It is necessary to create an office environment where active communications can take place. The main objective of this project is to investigate the current situation of camping-style offices which improve intellectual creativity and to propose further research.
